[The future of free traditional religious education in Malaysia in light of progress Civilization and technological development in the country]

In Malaysia, free traditional religious education is considered one of the heritage and religious symbols. Throughout its history, its schools have provided great services to society, and have played many roles for the Malay nation, including educational, educational, social, religious, and preservation of Malay heritage and culture. However, this education witnessed a great change in changing the path of civilization in the country from beginnings to prosperity and development, and ending with shrinkage and stagnation, as it moved from studying scientific assets to limiting to abbreviations and footnotes, and from advanced knowledge based on diligence to constant information in books and texts. Accordingly, this article examines the problems that afflicted him and led him to stagnation and decline. It also aims to highlight the reasons for this, as well as provide adequate suggestions for its advancement. In collecting its materials, the article relied on the inductive approach, whereby its material was followed in the stomachs of books and magazines, and information related to it was collected from these sources. It was also used to analyze the materials with a descriptive method, as a report of variables and facts. It is concluded from this study that the reasons for the failure of free religious education are due to the policy of the Western occupier during the colonial days, in addition to the government exclusion after independence. What made matters worse was the unwillingness of those in charge of it to develop it and reform its schools, and to stand in front of calls for reform and advancement, to organize study in them, and to develop their curricula and educational methods to keep pace with the times, and insisted on the necessity of staying on those weak educational curricula that are not compatible with the age of civilization and development, and they claimed that The calls for renewal are a new heresy, whose brigade is hostile to the original schools, and they considered it a means to undermine their schools, and they rejected with all force, any attempt aimed at reform and renewal in the curricula, and considered it an unforgivable sin. The article suggests, for its advancement, to rely on government financial and moral support, and before that, to reform its systems. Administrative and educational, and updating, revising and adding to the sources of his lessons, in addition to all of this, the formation and training of his educational cadres, relying on contemporary educational methods in the educational learning process, and he recommends openness to modern sciences and foreign languages, interest in scientific research books, and the teaching of contemporary issues.
