Amalan Kerohanian Merawat Tekanan Emosi Pesakit COVID-19 [Spiritual Practice In Treating Emotional Stress of COVID-19’s Patients]

Pandemik Covid-19 yang melanda dunia telah mengakibatkan pelbagai masalah gangguan emosi khususnya kepada pesakit yang disahkan positif covid-19 seperti mengalami kesedihan, kebimbangan terhadap penyakit, gelisah kerana ketidaktentuan tentang penyembuhan, dan perasaan bersalah kerana mungkin menjadi punca penyakit ini tersebar kepada orang lain. Muslim yang sejati perlu yakin bahawa agama Islam merupakan sumber rawatan bagi merawat masalah emosi seseorang melalui amalan kerohanian dalam kehidupan seharian kerana ia mampu menghasilkan kekuatan dalaman diri dan sekaligus mengalirkan tenaga kepada tubuh badan agar kembali sihat. Oleh itu, penulisan ini akan membincangkan rawatan emosi yang dialami oleh pesakit covid-19 semasa berada dalam tempoh penyembuhan melalui amalan kerohanian khususnya amalan ibadah. Penulisan ini berdasarkan temubual dari 8 orang bekas pesakit covid-19 di Malaysia dan melalui proses kuarantin dari pelbagai tempat seperti penempatan khas kuarantin pesakit covid-19 dan rumah sendiri. Dapatan kajian mendapati bahawa pesakit covid-19 mendapat kekuatan diri dengan melakukan amal ibadat seperti menunaikan solat, berdoa, membaca al-Quran dan berzikir kepada Allah sebagai pengharapan untuk sembuh selain ubat-ubatan. Kajian ini bertujuan untuk mengurangkan tekanan psikologi pesakit covid-19 dengan mencadangkan beberapa alternatif rawatan Islam serta memberi implikasi terhadap jiwa pesakit covid-19 dengan mengembalikan semangat diri apabila disahkan positif.
The Covid-19 pandemic that hit the world has resulted in various emotional disorders especially to patients who are confirmed positive for covid-19 such as experiencing sadness, anxiety about illness, anxiety due to uncertainty about cure, and guilt because it may be the cause of the disease spreading to others. Muslims need to believe that Islam is a source of treatment to treat emotional problems through spiritual practices in daily life because it is able to produce inner strength and at the same time contribute energy for healthy. Therefore, this paper will discuss the emotional treatment experienced by covid-19 patients while in the healing period through spiritual practice especially the practice of worship. This writing is based on interviews from 8 former of covid-19 patients in Malaysia and through the quarantine process from various places such as special quarantine placement of covid patients and their own homes. The findings of the study found that covid-19 patients gained self-strength by performing acts of spiritual practice such as performing prayers, praying, reciting the Qur'an and reciting dhikr to Allah as a hope for recovery and medication. This study aims to reduce the psychological stress of covid-19 patients by proposing several Islamic treatment alternatives as well as giving implications to the psychology of covid-19 patients by restoring self-esteem when confirmed positive.
