Abstract

The atmosphere of the new norm of the COVID'19 pandemic shows that Islamic Education teachers apply online learning during the teaching and learning process (PdP). This online application opens the space for Islamic education teachers to be more creative in generating meaningful online PdP. Thus, this study was conducted to identify the perspectives of Islamic education novice teachers on online PdP and the impact of its implementation. This study uses a quantitative design, involving a total of 80 respondents consisting of novice teachers of Islamic Education. A descriptive analysis of the perspectives of novice Islamic Education teachers and the impact of online PdP implementation, was used in this survey study. The findings show that respondents understand the context and impact of the implementation of PdP online of their teaching in the classroom. In this regard, this study to some extent provides useful information related to Islamic Education novice teachers who are always ready to impart knowledge according to current trends. Apart from that, it is in line with the need of the Ministry of Education Malaysia to strengthen PdP online, especially during school premises which had to be closed due to the Movement Control Order (PKP).
